FLORIDA CITRUS MUTUAL

Formed in 1948, Florida Citrus Mutual is the state’s largest trade association dedicated solely to the well-being of the Florida citrus grower. Florida Citrus Mutual has thrived for more than 75 years now because growers, shippers and processors have come together to protect and enhance the future of our grower members.

IN THE SUNSHINE STATE

Citrus is the state’s signature crop. The first orange trees were planted in Florida by Spanish explorers in the 1500s, and the fruit has been synonymous with the Sunshine State ever since. Florida’s citrus industry has a rich history, which is steeped in the grit and determination of its growers to persevere in the face of adversity. Time and time again, Florida citrus growers have proven to be incredibly resilient.

FLORIDA'S CITRUS INDUSTRY

Whether in Tallahassee, in Washington, D.C., or in the groves of Florida’s citrus belt, Mutual advocates on behalf of Florida’s nearly 2,000 citrus grower members to influence policies and address challenges that affect the industry.
